This website is operated by Yahya Salih, a Digital Growth Systems Consultant based in the United Arab Emirates. When this policy says "I", "me", or "my", it refers to Yahya Salih personally.

This policy explains what personal data I collect when you visit yahyasalih.com, why I collect it, how it is used, and your rights around it.

I collect data in two ways: information you give me directly, and data collected automatically.

Information you provide

• Contact form: your name, email address, company name, business stage, and the message you submit.

Data collected automatically

• Analytics: I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This includes pages visited, time on site, referral source, and general device and location data. This data is aggregated and anonymised — I cannot identify you personally from it.
• Cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and track sessions. See the Cookies section below for more detail.

I only collect data for specific, legitimate reasons:

• To respond to your enquiry — when you submit the contact form, I use your details to get back to you about a potential project.
• To understand site performance — analytics help me improve the content and experience on the site.

I do not sell your data. I do not use it for advertising targeting. I do not share it with third parties beyond the tools listed below.

I use a small number of trusted tools to operate this site:

• Email delivery (Gmail) — contact form submissions are delivered to me as email via Google's Gmail service. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google reCAPTCHA — the contact form is protected by reCAPTCHA v3 to prevent spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information such as device and application data, which is sent to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Google Analytics — used for website analytics. Data is processed by Google and may be stored on servers outside the UAE. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Hosting provider — this site is hosted on Hostinger. Hostinger processes basic request data (IP address, user agent) as part of serving the site. See hostinger.com/legal/privacy-policy for details.

This site uses cookies solely for analytics purposes via Google Analytics. These cookies help distinguish users and sessions so I can understand aggregate traffic patterns.

No cookies are used for advertising, retargeting, or tracking you across other websites.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete existing ones. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the site function, though on this site the impact is minimal.

• Contact form submissions — kept for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, typically no longer than 2 years.
• Analytics data — Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted.

Regardless of where you are located, I respect the following rights in relation to your personal data:

• Access — you can ask me what data I hold about you.
• Correction — you can ask me to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — you can ask me to delete your data. I will do so unless I have a legitimate reason to retain it.
• Objection — you can object to how I use your data.

I may update this policy from time to time, for example if I add new tools or the site changes. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when it was last updated. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
